Bachelor of Science (Agriculture), Nagpur University; Certificate in Sheep Breeding and Wool Research, Hissar

Received field training in United States of America (USA) in extension methods and agriculture economics. Held several positions in the Agriculture Departments in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Took voluntary retirement in 1974.

Have been busy implementing projects of far reaching effect on sustainable productivity of land and improving the quality of life of the small farmers.

Established a large scale Vermi Compost Depot.

Started Project Desalination to help the farmers facing the problem of salination of their lands.

Has established, through the Nave Gaon Andolan Movement, contacts with 183 villages in Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur Districts for the propagation of the Prayog Pariwar Methodology for de-mystification of science and de-professionalisation of education.

Received the State Level ‘Krishi Bhushan’ Award, the Agriculture Department Centenary Gold Medal and ‘Krishi Bhushan Vasantrao Arve Award’ for outstanding Research Worker on Grapes.
