Born in 1898 in Hathal village in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. A veteran freedom fighter, he courted arrest during Non-Cooperation Movement, Salt Satyagraha and Quit India Movement. Post-Independence, has been working ceaselessly for the propagation of Khadi, Village industries, communal harmony, and removal of untouchability, go-seva and prohibition.
