The Jamnalal Bajaj Awards 1993 were held on 4th November, 1993 at 5:00 pm at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, in Mumbai. In absence of Mr. J.R. D. Tata, Mr. C. Subramaniam (Chairman, Council of Advisors, Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation) was the Chief Guest and awards were received by: Mr. Vichitra Narain Sharma (Constructive Work), Dr. Dinkarrao Govindrao Pawar (Application of Science & Technology for Rural Development), Ms. Kantabahan & Ms. Harvilasbahan Shah (Development & Welfare of Women and Children) and Prof. Johan Galtung (Promoting Gandhian Values Outside India).
