The Jamnalal Bajaj Awards 1988 were held on 30th January, 1989 at 1:00 pm at Sevagram Ashram, in Wardha. Mr. Rajiv Gandhi (Hon'ble Prime Minister of India) was the Chief Guest and awards were received by: Ms. Krishnammal & Mr. S. Jagannathan (Constructive Work), Mr. Ishwarbhai Patel (Application of Science & Technology for Rural Development), Ms. Malati Devi Choudhuri (Development & Welfare of Women and Children) and Mr. Pierre Parodi (Promoting Gandhian Values Outside India).
