Vinoba's Bhoodan & Gramdan took them to all parts of India. Accompanied him in padyatra in dacoit infested Chambal Valley. Were in the forefront when it came to contacting the dacoits and persuading them to surrender their arms. Were sent by Vinobaji to Assam at the time of of the Assam-Bengal conflict to undertake peace work. Propagated Gram Swaraj in Kheda district, Gujarat and finally settled in the tribal village of Pindwal in Valsad district. Operated a Food Bank. Have been associated with Gujarat Sarvodaya Mandal, Sarva Seva Sangh, Gram Swaraj Fund, Jayprakash Amrit Kosh, Vishwa Mahila Sammelan, All India Peace Corps, Sarvodaya Parivar Trust, Stree Shakti Jagruti, Kasturba Rashtriya Smarak Trust. Vinoba named them as “Bhaginidvayee Harishchandra”.
